We're delighted to achieve planning on this 66 unit development in Rainham for our client Bellway Homes. Set within a low-density environment, these sustainable family homes respond to their edge of settlement location yet remain within easy reach of strategic infrastructure, local services and community facilities.

The development, located at Moor Street, will deliver new public open spaces including a large green space at the heart of the site. These spaces will optimise key views beyond, with visual and physical links between the existing settlement and the new development through provision of sustainable connections.

The project was initially refused by Medway Council on both highways and heritage grounds. However, following an Inquiry by the Planning Inspectorate, the Inspector determined that the benefits the project brings outweighs any potential harm to heritage as well as not posing serious safety issues to the local highways.
